I’ve started making bags from discarded banners and one thing I didn’t think of, or discover until after they were finished, is that they are dirty. Like dirty, sooty, leave-your-fingers-black-when-you-touch-it dirty. So I had the bright idea of putting the pieces in the washing machine on the delicate cycle. I don’t dare put them in the dryer. I hung them up for a colorful clothesline.
All in all, even with dirty fingers, these bags have turned out well. This is a prototype I gave to a friend to test drive for me. So far, so good. Look for them in the shop soon.
